Well, Bleeping, Bleep!

Originally, I had another post prepared ... I thought.

Last night, I spent a couple of hours working on it. When I got up this morning, I had plans to download some pictures of instruction. After opening my page here, everything I had written the night before was gone. Blogger must've erased everything. It saved nothing. Yes. I pushed the Save button ... Several times!

ANYTHING BAD CAN HAPPEN ON MONDAY, YOU SAY... BUT...

I knew something was wonky last night. When I first turned on my computer, I got an error message. Something about not being able to sign in properly. This happened before even going onto the Internet.

AND THEN ...

When I tried that, I got another error message.

I FOUND ...

I had a Homegroup something, something.

WHAT? HUH?

I had never heard of such a thing. But whatever it was, someone was using my internet connection. They even had access to all my files. So I deleted this Homegroup thingie. After and then, I was able to get onto the internet.

PAINFULL. PAINFULL. I'M SHAKING MY HEAD. I HAD A SUCH A GREAT POST TODAY, TOO.  REALLY.

By next Monday, I'll try to recapture my thoughts. Sorry, guys.

WAS GOING TO POST A PIC OF GLOWSTICK, TOO! BLOGGER IS BEING A BLOOGER! Cyber-space has been kooky LATELY. Don't you think?

I sure hope Blogger has their crap together by Friday and the rest of the internet world.

Hugs and chocolate, all!
Shelly

  3. Ugh ... I've only lost *squints in recollection* maybe 2 or 3 posts since I started blogging many moons ago. But they were all disasters and made me hate blogging for a few weeks. LOL

Putting a good post together takes a lot of time and thought! Hope the week turns in your favor soon, Shelly.

    1. I was in shock when I opened up my post. This has never happened to me before. But cyber-land has been weird acting this week.

  4. Someone's using your internet? Set up a password for your modem/router.

  5. I compose ALL of my blog posts initially on the Blogger app on my phone--it's much safer. Editing, photos, etc. are added on the computer.

    1. Yes. You're right. The portion I had typed on my phone was still there.

  6. Blogger has been particularly irritating for the past few days. Even after I'd saved a blog, and saw it listed, it wouldn't show up. I resorted to plan B, calling it something very rude. Not very technical but it worked.

  7. I think sometimes the computer does only what it wants to do. I wish it would just work like it is supposed to.

  8. Yes, you need to set up a password, especially if by accessing your Internet they can get at your computer.

  9. Technology, basically, sucks. Sorry you had problems. I had some of my own, over weekend. The phone line I hook into was down, and I didn't know it until I called my server, and they actually called my phone company and found the problem, and got it fixed, I'm up and running again.
I think we depend too much on this stuff... really I do!
