Here are my small things to celebrate:
I've got a squash or two growing.
And a zuchinni or two.
We're already eating the Swiss Chard. I used some in a soup on Tuesday and sautéed some on Thursday with onions and sweet potatoes. It went well with fried eggs.
But my poor tomatoes have signs of early blight. And since it rained..,well it seems to be spreading. I may have to pull them up and bleach my pots...and try again. Oh well...
As for Killer Stilettos, I've rewritten four more chapters and got another idea for another novel. I must be crazy.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a lovely weekend. Happy Shabbats if you practice!
I'm hoping to read blogs today and Saturday. The week has been too insane to keep up with all the blogs I follow! Apologies, everyone!
Hugs and chocolate!
Shelly
It's been a long, long while since I've had anything with zucchini.
ReplyDeleteI would send you some, but it might rot on the way to Canada.
DeleteWe haven't even planted here in Western New York...Congrats on getting some writing done and a new idea!
ReplyDeleteThe weather is crazy on Florida as well. Its' been real windy the last couple of days and this morning it was rather chilly.
DeleteI keep saying God's not happy.
HI, Shelly,
ReplyDeleteLovely plants... sorry about your tomatoes...
WE just started spring and now we're back in the 40's.... Mother Nature is very emotional these days.
Congrats on the rewrites... ANOTHER NOVEL? Awesome... Keep us posted.
Yup. More ideas keep coming. Not to mention, I'm expanding Time on Her Side.
DeleteYes. Mother Nature is rather touchy lately. Maybe her and God had a fight or something.
Know what you mean about keeping up with commenting and reading. You must be a glutton for punishment, rewriting and thinking of new ideas.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Mother Nature is going through menopause.
Your squash look great! My tomatoes, which I tried growing from seeds, were a dismal failure. I'll have to buy plants.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'm going to try to revive my tomatoes. They say when something goes wrong it usually nutrition problem.
DeleteCongrats on your veggies! I had a garden one year in our last house and managed to get some veggies to grow...I just hate gardening :) We have yet to put in a new gardening bed in our new (3 years already) house. I do pretty well with my herbs in pots though! Have a great weekend!

Menopause is a good explanation for crazy weather. Mother Nature must be having horrible hot flashes where she just has to keep the temps cold. I do that to the Sweetman all of the time.
ReplyDeleteMy computer is going crazy. The above answer was meant for Jo.
DeleteAnyway, I love growing a garden. I love the challenge.
I love growing things. Your little garden looks great! Too bad about the tomatoes--rotten luck. I usually get worms, and such.
ReplyDeleteChocolate hugs!
Yesterday, I sprayed the tomatoes with Epsom salts. The one looks much better today. Tomorrow I'll spray them with Neem oil. Keeping it as organic as possible.
DeleteHi human, Shelly,
ReplyDeleteMy apawlogies for taking so long to get here. I know all about trying to keep up. My silly human, alleged human, that is, sleeps and I end up doing all the commenting, Ten hours later, I'm almost finished. Yikes and arf!
Nothing like a vegetable patch. Hope you get your tomatoes sorted out. And all the beast, um best with your writing endeavour.
A note about the commenting using this comment format. Sometimes the darn comment section skips to the bottom of the page when you think you're commenting directly to the commenter.
Pawsitive wishes,
Penny!
I'm having that problem.
DeleteGo with the crazy-so fun! lol You aren't crazy-you are in creative mode! YOU can do it~ Oh, your new book sounds really good~ Congrats on your veggies-I love gardening~ Yum! Hugs and chocolate to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I love gardening, too. It makes me happy.
DeleteSorry about your tomato blight. I'm not the biggest squash fan, but for you I'll say, Yay squash.
