A to Z Challenge, Day 5: F is for Freaky Friday

freak fridayRemember this movie? Where mom and daughter wish they could trade places out of frustration.

What if this were true? What if two people have an agreement to trade bodies? Is it true?

Some astral projectors suggest it is. All two peeps have to do is agree to trade bodies before they go on their astral journey. Theory says its possible. How freaky is that?

Here’s a diddy from my novel:

“I’m borrowing B.J.’s body so I can help you. Gram said because I’m in a coma, it’d be a piece of cake to astral project into a willing body. B.J.’s willing, so we’ve been switching,” he said, putting his hands on my shoulders. “You believe me?”

  2. When I read that you know some ppl say, "try walking in my shoes for a day" wow I guess it can be possible. Loved both the movie and your diddy.

  3. We have the movie on DVD. Wasn't there a Disney version too a long time ago?

    1. Yes, there was. Jodie Foster starred in it.

  4. Yes, the Lindsay Lohan one is a remake. The original one is from the 70s and stars Jodie Foster. Both are good! Switching bodies is a pretty cool concept. I would enjoy doing it for a day.

    1. Dear Adorning: Thanks for stopping by. I'll have to stop by yours later. Gotta get me booty out the door to get to work. Boo-hoo!

  5. It is not so much that I like the idea of trading bodies as it is I like the idea of putting a new perspective into another's mind.I guess that is kind of the same thing. The difference being that there is no exchange of bodies; two bodies of one mind. I like what you have done.

  6. I've never seen the movie. Not sure I'd like to try body switching. Might get into a messy mess...

    1. Messy messes are not good, Laura. Ask Duker and Sir Poops.

  8. I read this book back in high school and was thrilled when they made the first movie of it with Jodie Foster! Also, I loved the Jamie Lee Curtis making too! Good memories!

    1. Sorry, I originally posted the above and didn't realize my husband (Magic Man) as signed into Google instead of me! Our own little Freaky Friday moment - LOL!

  9. Good Freeky Friday idea, Shelly. I'm not sure I'd want to do that, however. What if the other person likes your body so much they don't want to switch back LOL!

  10. I shudder to think of trading bodies with someone else . . . I think I'll stick with my own. LOL.

Yeah. I think I'll stick with my own, too.

  11. It was fun to watch, but I wouldn't really want to go through that.

I didn't see the remake, but I loved the one with Jodie Foster.

    1. Hi, Medeia:

Yeah. I don't think I'd want to experience that either. They say the shadow peeps hang out on the astral plane. They're not friendly by no means.

  12. You handled the ins and outs of body switching really well throughout the book.

I'm dying to know what you think.
